"ALOHA" to my Hawaii 15–month adventure ~~~ Feb. 2007 - May 2008 ~~ So many island memories that I will hold close to my heart forever ~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aloha my friends !!! Yes, my 15 month adventure in Hawaii has officially come to an end (yes, no more back & forth living bi-coastal, in two homes -lol lol) The entire time, from beginning to end has been an extreme experience that I will never forget and want to thank all of you, that have helped via those many, many phone conversations or made a visit to help ease my months of living here and making sure, that I didn’t go too crazy, being away from all of you ….. But yes, I need to come back to my home – my Cali….. to be surrounded by my family and my friends that I miss & love dearly !!! And, hey….who’s going to plan the wine tasting trip, now that I’ve back ?? or plan the next BBQ gathering ?? lol lol I am surely looking forward to all the “FUN” activities that we all use to do !!!
I am still tied to one last Hawaii Ceridian account here, that I will be Project Managing until the end of the year --- I don’t doubt that I will be making a few more trips here to my ol’ Hawaii before the end of the year and of course, catch those island rays that I will miss tremendously !!! Besides the island rays, I will miss my ceridian "ohana" family here ~~ I hope to stay in touch with them frequently, and I know that I will, especially being tied to one last Project Manager acccount... As I have told my hawaii ceridian ohana, its not good-bye aloha, its until I talk to you again, very soon!!!
I have been back in Cali already for a little while……only a few of you know of my return back, and that has been my choice to only share with a few of you…. I’m trying to settle in my new pad with Nicholas and Nambe and it has been really, really hard to adjust back….its been a bit emotionally overwhelming…..(And its sooooo---cold here –whats up with the tornados and rain ?? ) My car is still back in Hawaii, and I still need to figure out all the steps and paperwork to get the vehicle back here to CA --- so, carless for a little while, but that’s okay… its been good to stay in and trying to take in the Cali life, at my own slower island pace……….
Understand that I’m trying to transition back to this fast-paced SoCal life, that I had left… (Did I really, live this SoCal fast-cruising life, when I left ??? lol lol ) So far, its been a real difficult transition….can’t explain, but I think I just need the “time” to adjust back to everything surrounding me, not only physically but emotionally…. I WILL get my self together soon, and promise that I will call and we can do those last minute bbqs gatherings ; wine tasting trips or any last minute getaway trips up the coast…

Sharing some photos of my Ceridian aloha farewell from my Ceridian Hawaiian Ohana -- They rented a Kareoke room, which is one of the past times that my Ceridian Ohana LOVES to do, and had all my favorite foods, especially my favorite, SpicyPork !! It was a blast singing songs with my co-workers !! I will miss them tremendously !! 
"Meow, Meow" to Hawaii ~~ Big "Mahalo" to our mommy, for taking us on this Hawaii adventure with her ~~ We knew something was up, when we began to see boxes being wrapped up and especially, when the cat carriers came out of the closet, that we haven't seen in over a year ~~ Today, Wednesday, April 9th, is our last day here on the islands, and to say the least we are very sad (actually, not looking forward traveling on the plane again for over 5 hours!!) ~~ we will miss the tropical breeze and the island weather, but mommy has decided to relocate back to Cali ~~ We hope that our flight back tonight, won't be as bad as coming over here ~~ We cannot wait to see all of mommy's friends and having them all over for dinners /bbqs ~~ We know, our mommy is very sad right now... bringing us back officially, makes it a "reality" for her ~~ Mommy will be leaving us one last time in about 2 weeks from now, to come back and finalize her Hawaii ties (she's needs to ship our Honda-CRV back, of course!! ) Oh, but as you all know our mommy, she's going to go back and soak up the last of her "Island Sun" on the beaches of Waikiki - LOL LOL ~~ Hurry up mommy and finish your last trip back to Oahu & come back home to us in SoCal ~~ We bid our "Meow-Meow ALOHA" to the islands ~~see pictures below on our last day on the island ~~ we've had a "MEOW-marvelous" 13 month adventure in Hawaii !!! ~~ "ALOHA" with love, Nicholas & Nambe ~~
Aloha !!! I've had a few recent calls from a handful of you the past week, on "what is going on with Lea-when she moving back to Cali " OR "where is Lea", so wanted to get an update to this blog to all of you ~~~ Lea's Hawaii adventure has not ended as of yet !!! ~~ Feelin a bit bad, that I have not updated this blog for about 2 whole months --- but it has been very, very BUSY to say the least with everything..... I apologize now, for those that I was not able to see my last trip to the mainland last March .... my trip was primary to "finalize" where I'm going to plant myself when I return to Cali, in the middle of working as well. Have had a few visitors here on Oahu in Feb/March as well, which has kept me busy and getting to enjoy the island weather here – very, very tropical as usual. The weather back in the mainland definitely took an adjustment – I was FREEZING my butt off the whole time !!! On my birthday, I did have have a fabulous time on the Big Island (see pictures below) did a 8 mile hike, up thru the lush around the caledera, rim of one of the Kilauea Ika crater and then down in the caledera of the crater – it was an awesome day and what an experience !! Definitely, a must recommendation if you ever get a chance to visit the Big Island. Some other highlights of my visit to BigIsland, had gone to one of my favorite candy places that is “only” located on the Big Island called BigIsland Candies and went and checked out the MaunaLoa Macadamia Nut factory – very fun to go check out and came back on the plane with a carry on of BigIsland candies, Golden Macadamia Nut Brownies, my favorite !!!
With two major airlines closing this last week, I started to freak out a bit cause you just know, the flights to Hawaii now are going to skyrocket and I didn't want to have to pay big bucks for a RT airfare for the cats....So, I have decided to begin my relocation officially.... really, really "FINALIZE" where I will live, and its looking at North of Huntington Beach .... ( I know, I know, the Cali beaches is not Hawaii beaches, but knowing I can live by the beach, will make me very, very happy!!) When I was there in March, I looked at all areas of Manhattan, Redondo, Hermosa and even took a look at a few in Santa Monica area... But, for the most reasonable, and what the unit included, the unit in North HB was the final decision..... Depending on the availability of the airlines taking pets on my scheduled flight, Nicholas and Nambe may be be coming out as well ~~ I figure, get my kids(Nicholas & Nambe) back to Cali, then I will come back here to Hawaii and tie up all the loose ends, and of course, entertain a few more visitors & ENJOY my moments of the island tropical weather :) ;) :)
